The Departments of Employment and Social Programs have started accepting applications to form a quota for hiring foreign specialists in 2025.
If your company plans to hire foreign workers next year, you need to apply for a quota by October 1, 2024.
The application is submitted to the Employment and Social Programs Department. We recommend submitting an application for each region where your company operates or plans to operate in the next year.
The quota for hiring foreign labor is set as a percentage of the labor force, which includes:
1) quota for hiring foreign labor force under permits issued by the local executive body to the employer;
2) quota for attraction of foreign labor force by country of origin in the presence of international agreements ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of labor migration and social protection of migrant workers;
3) a quota for attracting labor immigrants.
Failure to apply for a quota may cause difficulties in obtaining and renewing work permits. Therefore, the employer should take care of the application well in advance.
